Tower of S. Maria dei Vignali

This is an isolated tower with a low escarpment reduced to a state of ruin. It was built at the top of a rocky hill, almost a natural motte controlling the passage on the ponte della Zittola-Lucera sheep-track, a short distance from the remains of a Samnite enceinte and of a settlement of the early Middle Ages.
