It can be reached by
means of an unpaved road running through a forest in the community of
Pettoranello not far from Longano. The enceinte, covered by thick vegetation,
rests on a low earthwork mound that forms a platform (a motte?). It is
roughly four-sided, and has two semicircular escarped towers on the south side,
the only remaining of the original four. Inside the enceinte there are the ruins
of a square tower and large cistern. The masonry consists of small-size stones
laid in partially regularised rows and bound with abundant mortar.
